Library Re-opens June 15th!

The library is going to re-open to the public on Monday, June 15th at 2:30 p.m. There will be new policies in place in order for this to happen:

  • Masks required for anyone over the age of 2 that does not have a medical condition that prevents them from doing so (staff & patrons)

  • Hand sanitizer provided must be used at the door

  • Limited occupancy (approximately 3 to 4 patrons in the library at a time*)

  • Limited computer use (You may reserve a 30 minute time slot)

  • We will not be providing headphones for public use, but you may bring and use your own.

  • No loitering will be allowed: if you would like to use our Wi-Fi, please remain in your car to do so.

  • Please do not place books back on the shelves once you have taken them off. Simply set them on the table for the librarian to disinfect and shelve.

Curbside service will be available upon request. If you are unable to wear your mask, we will ask that you use this service instead of coming inside. We will also be implementing new hours to allow for time to disinfect before opening and after closing. These hours are as follows:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 2:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Tuesdays: 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturdays: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

On June 28th, you can begin requesting items from other libraries again via the SHARE website. However, items will not start getting delivered until July 1st. Please visit the Illinois Heartland Library System's website for more information on their delivery schedule:

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to seeing everyone again!
